About me
In a nutshell, I'm a 37-year-old, gay man living in Washington, DC & working for a science & engineering company that predominently does work for the US government. Locally, this kind of company is often called a beltway bandit.

I live in a neighborhood called Dupont Circle, about 11 blocks from the White House. In my 16 years here I've never seen a president, although I have seen plenty of presidential motorcades.

I have 2 dogs: Bhodi & Luusi. Bhodi is a 6 1/2-year-old fawn pug (mops in many other languages) & Luusi is a 5 1/2-year-old brindle (black with brown flecks) French bulldog. Needless to say, I spoil them, but they deserve it--usually. If I can post pictures to this blog, I will put up a few of them.

I'm single and have been since early 1998, minus a few months last year. Although I don't mind being single, I'm at the point where I'd rather like to come home to someone that stands upright and doesn't need to be taken outside to use the bathroom. Of course, this is in addition to my "children," not instead of them. Unfortunately, I find most people insufferable, thereby reducing the potential dating pool to, well, a very small pool.

Anyone interested in applying? Please be local to me or in Amsterdam.

I think that's all for the moment. The weather in DC has finally improved, so I'm at a cafe & want to enjoy the passing scenery.

I think I'm going concentrate my next few postings on the topic of chocolate, comparing a number of products.

I'll bet that got some people's attention.

Peace--Geoffrey

Testing mo:Blog
Since I run around with my Clie TH55 always at hand, I thought it made sense to get a tool for blogging directly from it. This is my first such post using mo:Blog, which is the program I decided to purchase.

Peace--Geoffrey

All right, as much as I tend to be on the bleeding edge of technology, I'm certainly a late bloomer where blogs are concerned. I'll even come clean and say that I don't even read any.

Did I hear a gasp at such an admission? Well, I'm not embarrassed, just trying to check off a few other items on my to do list. Fear not, I'll get hooked, and probably quite soon.

And so ends my very first posting. I'll be back soon to either bore you with my bio or rant about some political issue.

Geoffrey
